Brief description

Dr. Fischbach is admitted as a representative before the European Patent Office.

His main practice areas are the prosecution of European and international patent applications and the preparation and prosecution of opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office. Dr. Fischbach is also experienced in drafting European and international patent applications and in conducting analyses of the property right situation with regard to freedom-to-operate. He also assisted in infringement and nullity proceedings of German and European patents.

Dr. Fischbach studied biology at the Technical University of Munich. He completed his PhD at the Fraunhofer Institute for Atmospheric Environmental Research, where he investigated molecular, biochemical and physiological aspects of monoterpene synthesis in plants. During his postdoctoral positions, Dr. Fischbach continued to conduct research in the field of plant isoprenoid biosynthesis, but was also involved in the production of transgenic plants and gene expression analyses in plant and microbial systems.
