Brief description

Dr. Roland Graf is admitted to practice before the German Patent and Trademark Office, the German Federal Patent Court, the European Union Intellectual Property Office and the European Patent Office. He was trained in the field of intellectual property law in a renowned German law firm and worked for a major American law firm for more than a decade before joining the firm "Zwicker Schnappauf & Partner Patentanwälte PartG mbB".

In addition to the preparation of patent applications and their prosecution in the grant procedure, as well as strategic IP advice to companies in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, Dr. Graf has extensive experience in opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office, nullity proceedings before the German Federal Patent Court, grant procedures for supplementary protection certificates in various European jurisdictions, in the support of infringement proceedings and in vindication proceedings.

At the end of his biology studies with a focus on biochemistry, Dr. Graf received his Master of Science degree from the International Max Planck Research School for Molecular Biology. He completed his doctoral thesis on molecular aspects of abnormal cell migration at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen. During his studies and his work as a patent attorney, Dr. Graf also gained experience in other technical fields such as immunology, structural biology, small molecule therapeutics and medical technology.
